Keeper RL
Lets Build a Fortress!
Above you see a simple fort I managed to put together in about ten minutes or so.. its not enough to with stand the onslaught of enemy troops, It takes a couple play troughs to get the hang of "Keeper RL".
Once you do you'll still get your ass handed to you. It's a hard life out there for goblin and trolls. To defend Mountain fortress successfully, you will have to go in over drive and get to building rooms for your residents, and designated training rooms so that they may get a work out, and be better suited to defend there self.
Quick Tutorial
Keys
U key=Build menu
Movement= arrow kyss or mouse click
F1=pops up the help menu
Enter key= pick up or use
C key= Talk to (after pushed, push arrow key in direction of person you wish to talk to)
What does this do....?
Liberty= produces mana (also a way to get you main character away from entrance)
Training room= earns your residents strength and defense also faster production times
bed= required for each resident
laboratory=require for potions and poison trap
Work Shop=required for stone trap and poison trap also for producing weapons and Armour.
Treasure chest= Required for gold
Storage=required for Iron ore, stone ore, wood
Graveyard=required for using the necromonster ability
Gas trap= place before doors to kill enemys
boulder trap=boulder rolls in the direction of the enemy killing everything in its path
Guard Post= this is how you control your army (another way is to gather your team in the resident menu)
so just spent around 2 or three hours playing the keeper RL.. Pretty awesome game! But after further review I'd give it a 3/5 for game play that is considered to be hardcore survival. I made it to the final wave of one of the keeper games. It said "the blah blah's are gathering for there final attack"
If the game actually had a open world mode where you could build and conquer your neighbors I'd be hooked instantly...
conclusion
Negatives
- No save feature what so ever then leaving computer on (as i can see)
- Game crashes when you get a large fortress
- Game Crashes at load screen, literally 50% of the time
- Enemy Attacks are non-stop (at least how far I made it)
- No tutorial (You gotta learn the hard way young grass hopper)
Plus
- Build a micro town in th e side of a mountain
- your main character the mage can learn new spells and use potions to become stronger
- You can research new units from 4 categories
- semi open world.
- many more features as the play by play battle narration
